Food preservation workshop set

Bandera County residents who are interested in learning the basics of food preservation and how to can or jam fruits and vegetables are invited to attend a pair of Backyard Basics workshops hosted by the Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Office of Bandera County.
The first Backyard Basics program, The Basics of Food Preservation - learning how to use a pressure canner and water bath canner, will be held Tuesday, June 16, 10 am to noon.
The second, Jams and Jellies - learning how to make and process your own jams, jellies, and preserves, will be held July 14 from 10 am to noon.
Both classes will be held at the Bandera Methodist Church, 1103 Cedar St, Bandera, Texas.
Cost is $15 per person for each program. To register, call 830-796-7755.
