Water conservation program set

There's still time to enroll in the Lone Star Healthy Streams Program (Agricultural Water Conservation) planned for Wednesday, June 3, at the Mansfield Park Rec Center, 2886 Hwy 16 N in Bandera.
The program aims to educate Texas livestock producers and landowners on how to best protect Texas waterways from bacterial contamination associated with livestock production and feral hogs.
The workshop will begin at 10 am and end by 3 pm. A catered lunch will be provided and three hours of CEU credit (2 general, 1 IPM) will offered to those with a pesticide applicators license. A highlight of this program will include a Riparian Health Field Visit with Sky Lewey, Public Education Associate with the Nueces River Authority.
Cost of the program is $15. To RSVP for the workshop, call the Bandera County Extension Office at 830-796-7755.
