Retired teachers host ice cream social

Members of the Bandera County Retired Teachers Association invite all current, soon-to-retire and retired teachers of county schools to attend the next get-together, which begins at 4 pm, Wednesday, May 20, at Pavilion 1 or 2 in Bandera City Park.
This will be an informal gathering of friends - old and new. Ice cream and all the trimmings will be the "featured attraction" along with a selection of brownies and cookies. Lots of relaxation and visiting will also be on the menu.
This will be the final BCRTA get-together until September. The membership hopes that as many members as possible will be on hand to welcome and assist guests. Those who plan to attend are asked to contact President Sherri Keese.
"Even retired teachers remember how hectic these last days of school can be, and know that ice cream 'soothes the soul,' offered a BCRTA spokesman. "Everyone looks forward to seeing many of our current teachers from all campuses. Please plan to join us!"
