City needs treasurer, public works director

Elected officials and administrators with City of Bandera will soon be collecting resumes and conducting job searches.
During the Thursday, April 2, meeting, Treasurer Betty Brown announced she would resign her position effective April 8. Citing health and personal reasons for her decision, she said, "It was a pleasure to have worked with you and helped to get things in order."
Brown began her fiduciary duties with the city in November 2014.
According to Mayor John Hegemier, Public Works Director JR Higgins tendered his resignation to City Administrator Lamar Schulz on Tuesday April 7. Higgins' last day on the job will be Friday, April 24. According to Schulz, Higgins gave no reason for leaving city employment.
He was hired in January.
