Eagle Ford consortium leaders, experts convene

The Eagle Ford Consortium expects more than 1,000 key community, industry, education, business and workforce development leaders at the fourth Eagle Ford Consortium Conference at the Grand Hyatt Hotel in San Antonio on May 27 through 29.

The conference will deal with developing community planning objectives in the ever changing energy marketplace - how some Eagle Ford Shale communities are achieving and maintaining the proper balance.
New this year will be a pre-conference program on Mexican energy reform. Discussion will include how small and medium businesses can be connected to the Mexican energy reform and address real-time information directly from the oil and gas industry.
Speakers will include Texas Railroad Commission Chair Christi Craddick; Dr. Thomas Tunstall; and Texas Workforce Commission Chairman Andres Alcantar; Port of Corpus Christi Commissioner Barbara Canales. Panels include "A Discussion with County Judges in the Shale;" "A Mayor's View from the 4-Corners of the Eagle Ford Shale;" A Tale of Two Ports;" and "The Current Oil Market-A Perspective from North Dakota, Mississippi, and Louisiana."
