Books, LPs, more at Saturday library sale

By Mary Conley Sec'y, FOL

March has arrived. We have seen the lion it came in on; can't wait for that lamb. In the meantime, the Friends of the Library has begun its spring cleaning.
First Saturday book sale customers will find all vintage books and LPs 50 percent off. A good variety of new history, fiction, inspiration, and much more will also be available.
March is special in other ways. This month the Friends launch their annual membership drive. Money from this drive, as well as book sales, bingo and gift wrap, is granted to the Bandera library for books, magazines, periodicals and other special needs that county funding does not provide.
Look for a membership application in your mail box, or pick one up at the library. Student membership is as little as $5.
But that's not all! Saturday, March 14 is the library's annual Wild Hog Explosion. This event is packed with all kinds of porcine activities, good music, delicious food and a motorcycle run. You can even wager on where a pig will poop. Can it get any better than that?
So, please support your library. It's easy - buy a book, become a member, catch a hog. We look forward to seeing you at one of these events.
And whatever your involvement, thank you for reading.
