Sage Garden's Teaching Kitchen will present Anthony Coden, a trained macrobiotic chef from the Kushi Institute, who is certified in Whole Food Plant-Based Nutrition.
During his inaugural class from 2 pm to 4 pm, Saturday, Feb. 21, at Sage Gardens, Coden will show participants how to ferment sauerkraut and pickles. He will also demonstrate basic knife skills and sharpening knives with a whetstone.
Class supplies include a half-gallon jar with lid, ideally with airlock top; a favorite knife for cutting cabbage; a small 8-ounce jar for pickles; and a large bowl for mixing. There will be extra half-gallon jars for purchase at $3 each at the class. Cost of the workshop is $35.
"Anthony will inspire you with his enthusiasm as he makes eating healthy both delicious and satisfying," said Debby Gibson, proprietor of Sage Garden.
