Knights serving up Lenten fish

Contributed

The Bandera Knights of Columbus Council #10258 will be serving up their excellent fried fish dinners every Friday of Lent, beginning Feb. 20.
Serving begins at 5 pm and continues until the food runs out.
The menu includes crisp Southern fried catfish, tasty cole slaw, a couple of hush puppies, French fries, delicious pinto beans, coffee or tea.
Plates are $8 each and you can eat in or take out.
The fish dinners are held in the beautifully renovated St. Joseph Hall at the Corner of Cedar and 7th Streets in Bandera.
Lenten dinners are also scheduled for Feb. 27, and March 6, 13, 20 and 27. During the rest of the year, the Knights satisfy hungry crowds the first Friday of every month.
Proceeds from the fish dinners benefit scholarships, St. Vincent de Paul programs, and the education of two deacons training to be priests, among many other good deeds.
