Children's discovery hike Jan. 17 at HCSNA

Parents, grandparents and their children are invited to hike and discover nature with Ranger Leanne Beauxbeannes Saturday, Jan. 17, at the Hill Country State Natural Area west of Bandera.
The outdoor hike offers fresh air, exercise and good, clean fun. Bring your children or grandchildren - or even your neighbor's children - on a guided nature hike starting at 1 pm.
Let them discover the joy of being out on the trail and seeing nature close-up. The ranger will provide an on-the-trail activity to enhance everyone's observation skills. It's all for outdoor fun, health, and education.
So meet at the park headquarters at 10600 Bandera Creek Road; dress in layers for weather; and bring water, snacks and your camera.
Regular entry fees apply: $6, and seniors 65+ with ID are $3. If you have an annual pass, then fees are waived for everyone in one vehicle. Children 12 and under always free.
The phone number at the park is 830-796-4413.
