Law West and East of Privilege Creek

By Judith Pannebaker BCC Editor

Monday, Dec. 29:
• It seems as though a Bad Boy from Bandera was planning a high ole time on New Year's Eve 'cause he was busted for pot possession as well as for carrying a dangerous drug times three.
• A Sweet Young 17-year-old Hippie from Helotes found herself booked into jail for possessing pot, too.
Tuesday, Dec. 30:
A Dingbat from Devine decided to try and get away with fashioning his own inspection sticker and insurance card. As readers of this column might have guessed, he didn't.
Wednesday, Dec. 31:
• A couple of Pipe Creeps celebrated the coming of the New Year by being charged with driving without a license and for consumption of a refreshing adult beverage by a minor.
Thursday, Jan. 1:
• Starting the New Year off right, a Souse from San Antone was caught and released for a first DWI.
Friday, Jan. 2:
• A Fool from Fair Oaks remains in the County Can after being nicked for a misdemeanor warrant that may eventually revoke his probation.
• Yet another Slug from San Antonio was pinched for driving without the requisite license and for being dogged by a failure-to-appear warrant, to boot.
• A Bandito from Bandera also remains a guest of the X Bar Inn for a felony warrant that may revoke his probation.
• Even in the Free State of Bantucky, a Kerr-Vert discovered one needs a license to motor along merrily.
Saturday, Jan. 3:
• It appears that a couple of Battling Brothers from Bandera were both arrested for assault by contact.
• Two Bandera Boneheads were arrested for having outstanding warrants, but only the one with the felony warrant that - once again - may serve to revoke his parole remains in custody.
Sunday, Jan. 4:
• As does another local yokel due to a felony warrant from an outside agency.
• Apparently a Pickled Person from Pipe Creek couldn't hold her likker in public.
• Another Bandera Bumpkin started the year off right by being held in custody for - what else? - possession of a Penalty Grade 1 controlled substance. How come anyone can pick up meth on any street corner, but I can't score a couple of bags of saline solution?
• A San Antonio Sweetie failed to elude local law enforcement authorities and remains in the slammer due to a misdemeanor warrant from an outside agency.
• A pair of pugilists from Lakehills and Bandera - 61 and 32 years old respectively - were sent to the slammer, where they remain, for misdemeanor assault with bodily injuries.
