Resolve to read more

By Mary Conley Sec'y, FOL

We made it! It's a new year. So celebrate the achievements of last year and make your plans for 2015. If your resolutions include reading, crafts, sports, entertainment, improving your spiritual life, or getting organized, the Friends of the Library would like to help. We start our first Saturday book sale is on Jan. 3 from 9 am to 1 pm.
New this month, lots of new fiction for you to peruse. A veteran quilter has donated a large library of books, patterns and craft kits. All of our golf related books will be specially priced.
An unusual influx of DVDs featuring old movies and TV shows might be of interest.
Another large donation of spiritual life oriented books is now available, and at special prices.
And if your goal is to get more organized by reducing the clutter, you can accomplish that goal and help your community by donating your excess books to the Friend's monthly sales. We need both hard and soft back books, and both fiction and non-fiction. We're sorry, but we cannot accept text books or encyclopedias.
We wish you all a very happy and healthy new year and look forward to seeing you on Saturday to check out our books or just say hello. We all enjoy chatting with you and we thank you for reading.
