Library to open late for Shoppers Jubilee

John Hegemier Library Director

It's that time of the year again. The Christmas lights are hung, the City Park is gaily adorned, and a quick "Merry Christmas" can often be heard during this time of joy and goodwill. What could possibly make the season any better? Why shopping for your presents and yourself at many of Bandera's merchants, of course.
To encourage people to come to town and take advantage of the many fine products that are available at our local businesses, the Library will stay open till 8:30 on Friday, Dec. 5 for Shoppers Jubilee. We will be passing out candy canes and offering hot chocolate to all of our patrons.
Additionally, the Bandera Public Library Board of Trustees has recently selected three new members to serve as board members. They are Able Luna, Bob Hoffman, and Kay Kindred. President Jan Grimes said, "We look forward to having them as members of the board, and to their contributions to our discussions and actions as we move forward."
Thank you new board members, and thank you board veterans for your service to the library and the community.
