Birding walk at Hill Country SNA


Scott Magee, veteran Texas Master Naturalist with the Hill Country Chapter, will lead a bird walk, beginning at 8:30 am, Saturday, Dec. 6, at the Hill Country State Natural Area.
Participants are asked to dress accordingly for weather and comfort and to bring binoculars, bird guidebooks and a friend. A Hill Country SNA bird list will be provided. This walk will be scheduled for two hours but participants may continue on longer.
Interpretive Ranger-Volunteer Coordinator Leanne Beauxbeannes has asked everyone to arrive prior to 8:30 am at park headquarters for registration and parking. Regular entry fees apply:
• Bluebonnet Pass - seniors with ID showing ages 65-plus, $3
• Annual State Parks Pass - everyone in vehicle has free entry
• 'Pay the day" - Admission of $6 allows visitors to stay all day

The Hill Country State Natural Area is located at 10600 Bandera Creek Road, south of Bandera off FM 1077.
