Fraser's Thanksgiving wishes to his district

Special to the Courier

As Americans, we have many traditions and values that make us unique. These traditions have helped make us an exceptional nation of prosperity, opportunity and equality. That's why Thanksgiving is important to us as a state and as a nation - because it gives us the chance to enjoy and be grateful for all we have been given.
On this occasion, I give thanks to our men and women serving at home and abroad to preserve our freedom. I take pause to appreciate the strength and grace offered by my loving family and friends. Today, we are all able to celebrate the good fortune in our lives as a community. After all, Thanksgiving is not about the feast on the table, but rather, the people gathered around it.
Thanksgiving is a time for neighbors and strangers to come together and give thanks for the many blessings in our lives. All across America, we show our gratitude to a higher power through displays of kindness and compassion to others, regardless of race, color or creed.
This Thanksgiving, I hope you will join me in recognizing the riches of the American spirit that we all share. Your confidence in me is, and always has been, my greatest honor. As always, I am grateful to have the opportunity to represent such wonderful people in the Texas Senate District 24.
From my family to yours, best wishes for a very happy Thanksgiving.
