Scoutmaster Fred Collins, Scout Justin McWhorter, and Bandera County Historical Commission Chairman Roy Dugosh recently worked on placing markers on graves in the Bertha Tryon - Hendrick Arnold Cemetery. The cemetery, located on Old Medina Highway in Bandera, was one of the few places in the county where African Americans could be buried for many years. The one-acre property was originally donated for the purpose by Mrs. Charles Montague in October of 1922.
