Contributed

The Joshua D. Brown Chapter of The Daughters of the Republic of Texas will meet at 10 am on Monday, Nov. 24 in the Chapel at Trinity Baptist Church in Kerrville. Current members live in Medina, Bandera, Center Point, Comfort, Boerne, Kerrville, Ingram, Hunt, and Odessa.
Anyone wanting to learn more about their ancestors is invited to join us. Call Linda Patten at 830-792-5472 for more information.
A dutch-treat lunch will follow the meeting.
The program, "Kerrville Homes, 1932 and today," will be presented by Deborah Gaudier who is a member of the Kerr County Historical Commission and the Kerrville Genealogical Society. Gaudier holds a Master's in Heritage Preservation from Georgia State University. In the 1930s, the City Tax Office in Kerrville photographed every house in Kerrville, many of which are still standing. The slide show presentation of these "Then and Now" homes promises to be outstanding.
