Gostomski earns National Championship

FFA

Bandera Senior FFA member Samuel Gostomski traveled to Louisville, Kentucky, Oct. 27 to compete in the National FFA Science Fair. After intense scrutiny of each applicant's written reports and grueling personal interviews, Gostomski's hard work and dedication paid off as his research earned him the title of National Champion in the Senior Individual Social Systems category.
In July of this year, Gostomski was the Senior Division Social Systems State Champion at the Texas FFA Agriscience Fair with his project that evaluated the effects of drought on the economy in Bandera County. This qualified him for the national contest in Louisville.
Gostomski has competed in the San Antonio Stock Show and Rodeo, the Houston Stock Show and Rodeo, the Alamo Regional Academy of Science and Engineering Science Fair, and the Texas Exxon/Mobil Science Fair with great success.
The FFA national science fair was held during the 87th Annual National FFA Convention.
