City Council agenda announced


City of Bandera Council will convene a regular meeting at 6 pm, Thursday, Jan. 15 in the municipal building on Main Street.
Agenda items include:

• Presentation by Linda Stevens of Bandera Real Estate on the second annual Goat Spectacular Cabrito & Bar-B-Que Cook-off. She will request that RVs with cookers be allowed in City Park beginning the evening of Friday, April 17, through Sunday, April 19. The Goat Spectacular committee will forward fees collected from RV owners to the city.

• Presentation of the quarterly report of the Bandera Fire and Rescue, which will include financial information, as well as details of the number and type of calls responded to.

• Presentation by Bandera Business Association President Margaret Paradee on the BBA’s annual hotel occupancy report.

In addition, city council will appoint two people to fill vacancies on the planning and zoning commission. The following names have been submitted for consideration: David Archer, Rilla Stephens, Linda James and Paradee.

After each councilman chooses two names from the list, City Administrator Gene Foerster will total the selections. In the event of a tie, Mayor Horst Pallaske will cast vote.

Bandera City Council meets at 6 pm on the first and third Thursdays of each month.
