Medina VFD fundraiser Nov. 1

It takes a village to support a fire department!
The one thing everyone in Medina and other parts of Bandera County, has in common is we depend on the Medina Volunteer Fire Department to keep us safe. Whether fire, storm, accident or simply educating future generations, the MVFD stands ready to help. Now it's time for us to help them - by attending their annual fundraiser this Saturday, Nov. 1.
Held at The Farm, the festivities begin at 2 pm with the infamous Washer Tournament. If dinner is more to your liking, serving and singing by the Caliche Hills Band begins at 4:30 pm and ends at 7 pm. Of course, the department will have their traditional smoked brisket, homemade axis and pork sausage, baked beans, coleslaw and all the trimmings. Dinner is only $10 per plate.
Raffle tickets are $20 each for an assortment of guns. At 7 pm there will also be a local merchant raffle with tickets at only $1 each. The night's entertainment will round out a great time with country singer Ricky Adams beginning at 8 pm. The dance is $10 a person or a combo ticket for dinner and the dance is only $18. BYOB is fine, also.
Remember, all proceeds from the event go to the Medina Volunteer Fire Department. Volunteers for the event are welcomed.
