Bandera ISD Education Foundation honors lead donors

Lead donors were honored at a breakfast hosted by the Bandera ISD Education Foundation and prepared by the Mayan Ranch on Tuesday, Oct. 14. With the Bandera ISD Education Foundation's annual fall letter drive in full swing, lead donors were honored by Foundation Directors and BISD Administrators. President Hooter McMullan commented that the drive had far exceeded the previous year and was still going strong.
The Education Foundation's mission is to support public education in Bandera ISD by providing grants for innovative teaching which enhance and enrich the educational opportunities for staff and students. The BISD Education Foundation has given over $200,000 in teacher grants since its inception in 2006. It also sponsors the annual Homecoming Tailgate for BHS alumni and the Senior Star Banquet given in May for Bandera ISD's top 25 percent seniors.
The foundation would thanked lead donors George and Barbara Sharman, Dixie Dude Ranch, Eric and Jaren Shaw, Propane Depot, Lowe's Grocery, Kent and Kathleen Harbaugh, McMullan Insurance, Susan Smoot Sims, Western Title, Aquatech Drilling, Joe and Cindy McMullan, RJ Bowen/Church's Chicken, Bandera Electric Coop, Regina and Tim Howell, Laurie and Bryan Neff, Lemon Tree Cleaners, Walsh, Anderson, Gallegos, Green and Trevino Attorney At Law, Stella Thayer, Thomas and Brenda John, Hedreen Family Partnership, Sara Devries Sandifer, Brenda Huvar and Mini Mart.
