Contributed

Everyone interested in gardening and all things beautiful that grow are welcome to join members of the Madrona Garden Club of Bandera for their monthly meeting, beginning at 2 pm, Thursday, Oct. 16.
For this meeting only, the club will meet at the Pipe Creek Presbyterian Church and Fellowship Hall - aka the "Little Rock Church," 8589 State Highway 16 South.
Prior to the meeting, there will be a tree planting and dedication in memory of lifelong member, Shirley Vangsnes, beginning at 1:30 pm.
October's featured speaker will be member and water conservationist Jack Freeman, who will demonstrate how to make a rain barrel for rainwater collection. There will be a $5 donation drawing and a lucky member or guest will receive a rain barrel.
The club's November meeting will be held at its usual location, the Bandera Methodist Fellowship Hall, at 2 pm, on the third Thursday of the month.
