Hill Country choir remembers 9-11

By Carolyn B. Edwards BCC Staff Writer

The Canto Chamber Choir of the Hill Country will present a special concert commemorating 9-11 and saluting the men and women who have served and are serving in the American armed forces. The choir, a premiere performance group, will perform "Lest We Forget: In God We Trust" in two concerts this week.
The first performance will be Saturday, Sept. 13, at the Hill Country Evangelical Free Church in Fredericksburg at 3 pm. The church is located at 107 E Lower Crabapple Road off Highway 16. The second concert will be Sunday, Sept. 14, at 3 pm at St. Paul's United Methodist Church, Kerrville. St. Paul's is located at 135 Methodist Encampment Road off of Highway 27 (Junction Highway).
Tickets are $20 for adults and $5 for students.
The Canto Chamber Choir is composed of largely professional and semi-professional musicians who audition for membership.
"Our concerts are primarily sacred in nature and, often, we are asked to perform as a benefit group to raise funds for private schools, nonprofit organizations and other such entities," said Director Jerry Neuenschwander, of Bandera.
