Education foundation hosts alumni event

By Carolyn B. Edwards BCC Staff Writer

The Bandera ISD Education Foundation knows that building an alumni base is key to the foundation's future. "Our alumni are an integral part of our community, and their involvement with the foundation is vital," said a spokesman for the foundation.
On Homecoming 2014, set for Friday, Sept. 26, the foundation will host the Parade of Decades and a Tailgate Party at 6 pm. This year the parade will honor graduates of decades ending in the number four: 1944, 1954, 1964, 1974, 1984, 1994, 2004 and 2014. The party will be held at 6 pm at the BHS cafeteria.
This event will be the perfect time to join the foundation and support the school with a donation. For more information, go to www.educationforbandera.org.
The foundation is a non-profit, tax exempt 501(c)3 corporation operating independently under its own board of directors with no paid administrator. All work is done by community volunteers.
The foundation facilitates student achievement, recognizes staff excellence, and works to expand community involvement of the Bandera ISD's schools.
