'Star-Spangled' pooch looking for home!

These two pooches placed first in the "Star-Spangled" category during the July 4 CCPAL Pet Parade at City Park and Asha can still be yours. This little black dog will be among those hoping for a home at the monthly Bandera County Pet Adoption, held from 9 am until 2 pm, Saturday, July 12, at the animal control impound facility on Highway 16 North. A nominal adoption fee applies and rabies vaccinations will be administered on-site. State statutes require adopted pets to be spayed or neutered within 30 days of adoption. Proof of the procedure must be returned to AC Community Liaison Becky Bradford. For more information, call 830-796-4075. Additionally, low-cost spay and neuters procedures for companion animals are available at the Hill Country Animal League in Boerne. To schedule an appointment, call 830-249-2341. The Courier thanks Victoria Sylvie Kitzman for her assistance at last Saturday's Pet Parade, sponsored by the Cowboy Capital Pet Assistance League. For a preview of the dogs available on July 12, checkout the new website at www.banderacountyac.org, and, remember: "Adopt, don't shop."
