Make plans to attend a Back to School Bash on Tuesday, August 5, and enjoy fun for the entire family.
Parents will receive valuable information about the upcoming school year while youth will enjoy hands on interactive activities and entertainment.
The event will be from 5:30-7 pm at the Mansfield Park Showbarn and is being sponsored by Bandera ISD, Boys and Girls Clubs of Bandera and Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service.
"The Back to School Bash is a great opportunity for families to have some fun getting ready to start the new school year," said Regina Howell, BISD superintendent.
The program will begin with a pep rally featuring Bandera High School band members, cheerleaders and athletes. Several vendors will provide valuable information to parents concerning school programs, day care providers and youth extracurricular activities to name a few. Refreshments will be provided and the event is free to the general public.
"I am excited to collaborate with Bandera ISD and Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service Bandera County Office for an event that will share so much information for the families in Bandera County. The Boys & Girls Clubs are excited to send members and parents to the event and we know that the families will gain from the information shared at the Back to School Bash" said Greg Parker, chief professional officer of the local Boys and Girls Clubs.
"We look forward to seeing you at Mansfield Park on Tuesday, August 5. Come out and get the 2014-2015 school year off to a great start!" said County Extension Agent Sam Womble.
