As part of a statewide initiative, Bandera County will join in the reading of the United States Declaration of Independence at noon on the front lawn of Bandera Courthouse lawn, Thursday, June 3. Over 70 cities across the state will participate in the initiative.
"If God smiles on us and we have a large turnout, each person will read one or two lines. If we have only a few, we will all read multiple lines," said an event spokesman.
The public is invited to assist with the reading and kickoff America's 238th birthday. Everyone is encouraged to attend this community event.
