Don't forget Texas Beef Checkoff Referendum

Announcement

Local cattle producers are urged to mark their calendars and vote in the Texas Beef Checkoff Referendum, slated for June 2 through June 6, according to Barbara Mazurek, president of the Bandera County Farm Bureau.
Voting for the referendum will be held at the Bandera County AgriLife Extension office during normal business hours.
Eligible voters must have owned cattle between June 6, 2013 and June 6 of this year. If an owner is less than 16 years of age, their ballot must be co-signed by a parent or legal guardian.
Establishing this Texas Beef Checkoff will extend and enhance programs the Texas beef Council has developed over the last 27 years, as well as fund programs for the future.
For more information, contact the Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Office at 830-796-7755 or the Texas Department of Agriculture.
