ACA topic of AACOG session for small businesses

The Alamo Area Council of Governments will provide an orientation for small businesses and nonprofits wanting to learn more about providing insurance for employees through the Affordable Care Act on Tuesday, Jan. 21, from 5 pm to 6 pm.
The session will be held at the Al J. Notzon III Board Room, at 8700 Tesoro Drive, Suite 100, in San Antonio.
The Small Business Health Options Program (SHOP) Marketplace makes it possible for small businesses to provide qualified health plans to their employees. For 2014, the SHOP Marketplace is open to employers with 50 or fewer full-time equivalent employees (FTEs). Small businesses using SHOP may qualify for tax credits.
This is the first session being offered. The second will be held Friday, Jan. 31, from 5:00-6:30 p.m. at the same location.
The orientation is free and open to the public. For more information, call 1-800-960-5201.
AACOG does not sell any plans but rather is a source of information only.
