Tarpley man dies in one-vehicle rollover

Steven K. Clark, 58, of Tarpley, died early Sunday afternoon, Dec. 8, in a one-vehicle rollover on FM 470. The accident occurred near Indian Creek at 1:50 pm.
According to DPS reports, Clark was traveling west on 470 at approximately 70 mph. He passed another vehicle and as he cut back in after passing, he left the roadway to the right, and over corrected.
His 2001 Chevy Silverado pickup rolled and came to rest upside down in the dry creek bed.
When deputies with the Bandera County Sheriff's Office arrived at the scene, Clark was pinned in his vehicle with no discernable pulse. Precinct 4 Justice of the Peace Lynn Holt pronounced him dead at the scene.
BCSO Deputies JJ Martinez and Cpl. DJ Nowlin assisted with the accident along with two game wardens.
Troopers with the Texas Department of Public Safety continue with the investigation.
