Harris announces for re-election

To my fellow taxpayers, it has been my honor and privilege to serve as your Precinct 2 Commissioner for the last seven years. It has been my pleasure to serve as your voice in county government business and to continue to fight for your taxpayer rights. I am now asking the voters of Precinct 2 to re-elect me as your commissioner for the third term in the 2014 election cycle.
In every issue concerning the taxpayers dollar spent, I go to great lengths to study the true hard facts and then apply common sense to come up with the most economical solution on every issue. I have voted with my conscience and moral values to save the taxpayers' money and provide the best services to the taxpayers.
Since 2007 I have completed over 200 hours of County Judges and Commissioner continuing education.
The minimum required for this time frame is 112 hours. I lack just one hour of completing the advanced classes for commissioners' continued education program - something that has never been done by a commissioner from Bandera County.
Although the county park at Medina Lake is temporarily closed due to lack of water, I continue to do upkeep and maintenance at the park. The recycling program in Precinct 2 continues to be very successful and plans for a glass compactor are underway in 2014.
But the biggest and best news is that the construction of the new animal control facility has begun and the concrete slab will be poured the third week of December with metal building to follow in January 2014.
I am asking you for your vote once again so that I can continue to serve, protect and fight for your Taxpayer Rights. Thank you.
