Hoping to be home for the holidays

"My Christmas wish is for a forever home," said this wonderful Catahoula mix. He's waiting patiently for a special family to drop by Bandera County Animal Control's "Home for the Howlidays" adoption fest taking place from 9 am to 2 pm, Saturday, Dec. 7, at the holding facility at 3012 Highway 16 North. Rabies vaccinations will be administered on-site. These special adoption days will help reduce the number of impounded dogs that are being euthanized. Approximately 20 dogs are put to sleep by lethal injection each month. With a little luck - and the right little boy - this sweet Catahoula will be "Home for the Howlidays" before the next adoption day, slated for Saturday, Dec. 21.
