Kindle the fire with winter reading

By Mikie Baker BCC Contributor

Now that the cold is upon us, just how do you keep those teenagers entertained all winter long?
The Medina Community Library has the solution with their Winter Reading Program for grades seven through 12. Beginning Dec. 1 and ending on Feb. 28, this program will sure to get the kids inspired.
What can inspire teenagers to read? How about their own Kindle Fire. For every four books and reviews that the participant turns in, they will receive a ticket in the library's drawing slated for 10:30 am, March 1 at the Medina Community Library. Your teenager will need to be present to win.
What are the rules? Each participant needs to read books that are checked out from the Best Little Library in Texas. Plus, they must turn in a short review on each book on a form provided at the library.
Registration begins Thursday, Nov. 21, so grab up your teenagers and head on down there for a chance to win a fabulous Kindle Fire. For more information, call 830-589-2825.
