Turkey shoot Nov. 9
By James Henry Frazar Courier Contributor
The Lakeshore Volunteer Fire Department will host a benefit turkey shoot Saturday, Nov. 9, at their firehouse on Wharton's Dock Road.
The shoot begins at 10:30 am and continues until they run out of frozen turkeys.
Bring your .410-, 12-, 16-, or 20-gauge shotguns. The department will furnish the ammo. Each round is $3. The best shot wins a frozen turkey, said fire department vice president Rusty Landry.
Other offerings include refreshments, food and a cakewalk.
There's also a BB gun shot for children. This contest costs five shots for a dollar. The prize is a frozen chicken for the top shot kids.
Call Landry at 830-522-0280 for more information.
