Texas books at library sale

By Mary Conley Sec'y, Friends of the Library

Summer has flown! The kids are back in school. We invite you to start your fall season exploring the Friends of the Library Sept. 7 Saturday book sale.
There are wonderful specials this month. Texas A&M Press has generously donated a large selection of brand new books, many about Texas, its ethnic roots, characters, and lore. And all at our regular low, used book prices. This is a real treasure to be mined.
Is baseball your passion? It was someone's, and we are grateful to have a number of books on the sport itself, its stars and its statistics.
If watching or listening is more to your liking, check out our huge new collection of VHS tapes, books on cassette, and even books on CD.
Finally, the Friends has received an unusual donation from a dedicated model train enthusiast. Sold as a collection, this set starts with a box of train-related VHS tapes. It also includes a partial train set including cars, track and accessories, as well as books about trains, engines, and more.
If these specials don't whet your appetite, you can peruse our regular offerings of both hard and paperback books. Everything new from our last sale is always showcased to make your search easy as possible. We look forward to seeing you Saturday, Sept. 7, from 9 am to 1 pm.
As always, we thank our many donors and we thank you for reading.
