Pictured: The Byrd family - Roger, Melinda, Karon and Buddy - became the newest title sponsor for "Celebrate Bandera." Buddy's Water Well and Septic Service will sponsor the 2013 Wild West Show and National Professional Bull Rider's Challenge. "Celebrate Bandera" takes place during Labor Day weekend.

For the past 12 years, the Bandera Community Foundation (BCF) has produced one of the largest events in the county, "Celebrate Bandera."

This event quickly became a rising star among festivals throughout the State of Texas, receiving national recognition in True West magazine's "Best of the West" addition and American Cowboy Magazine's "101 Best Western Events in the Nation."

Celebrate Bandera would not be possible without the help of the many sponsors that support the event each year. "It's incredible how many local businesses support 'Celebrate Bandera'," said Linda James, BCF president. "We are humbled by it and want everyone to know every level of sponsorship is greatly appreciated."

James continued, "However, this year, 'Celebrate Bandera' proudly announces Buddy's Water Well and Septic Service as the Title Sponsor of the Wild West Show and National Professional Bull Rider's Challenge for 2013. Buddy and Karon and Melinda and Roger Byrd have done so much for the community."

According to James, the Byrds have been major sponsors at "Celebrate Bandera" since the event began in 2002. "Their commitment as the Title Sponsor shows they believe in the economic impact it has on the community as a whole," she said.

Presenting sponsor will be Ancira-GMC of Boerne. This is the third year Ancira-GMC of Boerne has participated and the BCF welcomes them back.
