The USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) in Bandera County, in conjunction with the Bandera Soil and Water Conservation District invite the public to attend the 2013 Local Working Group (LWG) meeting from 10:30 am to noon, Thursday, August 8.
The meeting will be held at the Junior Livestock Barn Conference Room at Mansfield Park, located on Highway 16 North.
The annual LWG meeting sets local conservation priorities and brings conservation stakeholders together to discuss conservation topics and issues relevant to helping Bandera County farmers and ranchers better conserve on-farm natural resources. The meeting also updates participants on recent conservation efforts and collects public input to help guide future conservation activities.
Through regular identification of conservation opportunities, effective Farm Bill investment can continue to benefit Bandera County. Farmers, ranchers, conservationists and others interested in obtaining federal technical and financial assistance to improve private land in Bandera County are urged to participate.
