Bandera's musicians show their chops

Wall-to-wall music prevailed at the Bandera Music History Project Hall of Fame showcase fundraiser held Sunday, April 21, at the 11th Street Cowboy Bar.

It was rumored that the Courier's own Dennis Allyn danced his boots off all afternoon and also helped the cause by making a winning bid on one of the auction items.

Mesmerizing the crowd with her version of "Orange Blossom Special," Laurie Gibson, on fiddle, was backed up by Johnny Miller, Tooter Ripps and Lisa Beck.

Local singer Peter Lovett entertained the music lovers of Bandera.

Music Hall of Famer Larry Nolan is now known as Bandera's Man in Black


All-Star Bass Player Tooter Ripps took a well-deserved break.
