Contributed

Peterson Hospice in Kerrville welcomes Matthew Gallo as new chaplain to the Peterson Hospice Team.

A native of Pennsylvania, Gallo has served with the United States Air Force for 11 years with tours of active duty in Iraq and Kuwait respectively. While in Baghdad, he met his wife, Erica Sepulveda, who she was serving with the United States Army.

The couple was married in August 2010, the same year Gallo became an Air Force Reserve Chaplain. A Kerrville native, Sepulveda graduated from Tivy High School. The Gallos are now active members of our Kerrville community.

In October 2012, Gallo was ordained in the Christian and Missionary Alliance as a Reverend for the Air Force and Civilian Chaplaincy.

When asked about his calling to become a hospice chaplain, he said, "During my ministry with hospitals, churches, the military and hospice, I felt that my gifts were best suited for hospice ministry."
Gallo completed an internship with both Vitas Innovative Hospice and Audie Murphy VA Hospital of San Antonio. He also serves as a volunteer chaplain for both the Kerrville Civil Air Patrol and the Kerrville State Hospital.
