Sponsors announced for 2013 CCRA PRCA Rodeo

The Cowboy Capital Rodeo Association (CCRA) will host the 30th annual Memorial Weekend PRCA Dodge Ram Rodeo on Memorial Day weekend, May 24, 25 and 26. Special events for children include Mutton Bustin', Stick Horse Races and Ram Calf Scramble. Details can be found at www.banderarodeo.com.

The CCRA will also hold its sixth annual "Get Your Cook-On" Barbecue Cook-Off Saturday, May 25 and its "Boot Kickin" Golf Tournament at the Flying L Golf Course, starting at 8 am Sunday, May 26.

CCRA volunteers are pleased to announce the 2013 Title Sponsors, Buddy's Water Well & Septic Systems and NAPA Auto Parts. Once again, Bandera's rodeo was selected as a Ram Rodeo, sponsored by Crenwelge Dodge and Boerne Dodge Superstore.

Performance sponsors are Ridin' The River Cowboy Fellowship Church, The Cowboy Store-Wrangler and Jerry & Sons Plumbing. Event sponsors include the Vaquero Waste & Recycling, Ray and Ada Wharton, John Teich Construction, Carlin Trucking and Hy-O-Silver. Sponsorships are still available.

Rodeo performances begin at 8 pm each evening at Mansfield Park, located off Highway 16 North. Admission is $12 for adults, $6 for children ages six to 12 years with children ages five and under admitted free. Tickets can be purchased at the gates or at the following locations, Bandera County Convention & Visitors' Bureau, Bandera County Chamber of Commerce, The Cowboy Stores, or Lawlis Auto Supply.

CCRA is a nonprofit organization that supports the youth of Bandera County and promotes the western way of life. In past 10 years, CCRA has awarded approximately $50,000 in scholarships to Bandera County college students. CCRA is also the proud supporter of the Bandera 4-H Program, Bandera Junior Livestock Association, Bandera ISD Education Foundation and Bandera County EMS.

"The Memorial Weekend Ram Rodeo attracts approximately 10,000 visitors and residents."
