Gibson winner at calf scramble

Laycee Gibson, Bandera County 4-H member, participated in the San Antonio Stock Show and Rodeo Calf Scramble on Feb. 10. Successfully pulling a calf across the line, Laycee is the recipient of an $800 certificate to purchase a beef or dairy heifer, doe, ewe, or gilt to exhibit at the 2014 San Antonio Stock Show. The Calf Scramble Program is dedicated to supporting Texas FFA and 4-H students in the purchase of a breeding animal to be raised and exhibited the following year at the Stock Show. Participants keep detailed records throughout the year and also submit a record book for potential awards.
