Law West and East of Privilege Creek

By Judith Pannebaker BCC Editor

Tuesday, Jan. 29:
Apparently a misdemeanor traffic warrant tripped up the vehicular meanderings of a Hick from Hondo.
Wednesday, Jan. 30:
As did a felony warrant from an outside agency for a local yokel - but only for a day.
A 20something Bonehead from Bandera remains confined to the county can on two felony charges - evading arrest with a vehicle and possessing a PG 1 controlled substance.
While a fellow druggie got off a little easier after being charged with just misdemeanor pot possessorship.
A Miscreant from Medina thought he - or she, either way - could get away with boosting something worth between $1,500 and $20,000. Instead, he - or she - has been charged with a felony and remains in the County Quod.
A warrant from an outside agency sent a citizen of San Antonio to our slammer.
Thursday, Jan. 31:
Ditto, except this guy from Victoria (ever try to think of a clever alliteration with something that is criminal in intent and starts with a V?) was tripped up by a misdemeanor warrant from an outside agency.
A San Antonio Souse - waaaaay old enough to know better - was busted for a felony DWI because he had a kid in the car while doing it.
A Freak from F'burg got stopped cold - well, for a day - due to being dogged by a felony warrant from an outside agency.
A court ordered the jailing of a Simpleton from Somewhere and so he was and so he remains.
Friday, Feb. 1:
A felony "other" warrant seemed sufficient to warrant the arrest of a Bandera Babe and so she was.
Saturday, Feb. 2:
Now comes an array of arrests revolving around the conspicuous consumption of refreshing adult beverages: Bandera Boozer, first DWI; Bootlicker from Llano, being pie-eyed in public; San Antonio Slug, first DWI; Fool from Fort Hood, public intoxication, resisting arrest and assaulting a public servant; and Bandera Birdbrain, being pissed in public, resisting arrest and the inevitable failing to heed the instructions of a previous court.
Sunday, Feb. 3:
A couple of Mugs from Medina got more than they bargained for after being stopped by a deputy. The woman was wanted for a misdemeanor capius pro fine warrant while her husband, who seemed to be three sheets to the wind in public, also purportedly did not have his green card in order, so he remains behind bars on an INS detainer.
Yet another Legless Local got pinched for a first DWI.
A Bad-Tempered Bandera Babe got in Dutch with the law for assaulting someone by contact.
