Second rainwater collection tank started at BHS

Construction on a second rainwater collection tank began recently at Bandera High School. The second tank will be adjacent to the original collection tank built last year. The two tanks, together, allow for the storage of 84,000 gallons of rainwater to be used to irrigate the baseball field. The rainwater is collected from the 60,000 square foot faculty parking lot on the east side of BHS. One inch of rain can generate about 30,000 gallons of water. The construction and installation is a project of the BHS Construction Trades students and teacher Brad Flink.
