BCRAGD joins Nueces County River Authority for BMS program

Seventh grade Science classes at Bandera Middle School were treated to a presentation about rainwater runoff through a combined effort of the Bandera County River Authority (BCRAGD) and the Nueces County River Authority on Monday, Nov. 12.
Presenter Mary Bales brought out a Powerpoint slide show and demonstration table showing the topography of the Nueces River basin. Students were able to place simulated pollutants thoughout the basin and could see the potential for runoff pollution created through rain events.
Seventh grade science students study the water cycle at this time of the year and this presentation brought into further clarity the impact of even minor polluting events to the whole multi-county area.
