Texas Water Development Board launches website

On Nov. 8 the Texas Water Development Board (TWDB) launched a new website, www.waterdatafortexas.org, which provides the most comprehensive information available on Texas reservoirs, including Medina Lake.
TWDB compiled extensive records from federal, state, and local partners to generate current and historical information on reservoir levels, storage, surface area and elevation-area-capacity curves. In many cases, the website provides data for the entire history of the reservoir.
TWDB designed the site so that data is easy to access and download both by end users and by third party applications.
The Water Data for Texas website consolidates and replaces information from other TWDB websites. Please update your bookmarks to www.waterdatafortexas.org if you use any of the following sites, as these have been decommissioned:
• Reservoir Information System
• Reservoir Storage Summary website (includes all individual reservoir pages)
• Texas Water Conditions Regional Storage Map
• Texas Water Conditions Reservoir Storage Map
The Water Data for Texas website will be adding additional information over the next few months, so check back soon for more features.
For more information on the site or on how to download reservoir datasets, contact: webmaster@twdb.texas.gov.
