Mansfield school board candidate

Announcement

Bandera County voters, the time has come for me to give back to the community that has done so much for me through the years. I am running for a position on the BISD Board and would appreciate your support.

Please allow me this opportunity to introduce myself to those who do not know me. My family's Bandera roots date back to the late 1800s. Born and raised in Bandera County, I graduated from Bandera High School in 1991. I attended the United Stated Naval Academy, graduated with a BS in Mechanical Engineering and a commission as a 2nd Lieutenant in the United States Marine Corps.

Eleven years in the Marine Corps gave me many opportunities to see this great country and the world beyond its borders. I was blessed to spend most of my career in the cockpit of an attack helicopter. After several deployments and a tour as a flight instructor, I felt it was time to bring my family back to the town in which I was raised.

I have a beautiful wife, Tandie, and two wonderful children in high school. My goals are to bring Spirit and Pride back to the mighty Blue and White as well as back to our community. I was raised on Honor, Courage and Commitment...all values I believe important for our school system. Have Discipline, Be Responsible, Have Respect for your elders and those around you, Be Accountable, Be Courteous and Be a productive member of Society are phrases that I believe in and live by.

Winning and success are not bad words. Today's society teaches and accepts mediocrity. Let's set high standards, strive for success and provide our children with a system that demands excellence. Join with me in making it better for those that follow. Allow me the opportunity to give back to those who are the future. Once again, I am running for a position on the school board. We few, we happy few...we band of brothers. Semper Fidelis and God bless!
