Joey Whatly didn't even have to dismount from his horse, Bay, to receive a free flu shot at the last year's annual City of Bandera Health Fair. The 2012 version takes place from 10 am to 4 pm, Wednesday, Oct. 17, at the municipal building and the Bandera Volunteer Fire Station, 511 Main Street.
Healthcare agencies and their affiliates, as well as medical providers from the Arthur Nagel Community Clinic and Bandera County EMS technicians, will be on hand with health information, exercise and diet tips, blood pressure and glucose checks and to distribute other healthcare information.
Compliments of Crawford Pharmacy, over 100 free flu shots will be available to the general public on a first come, first served basis.
For more information on the health clinic, call the city at 830-796-3765 or 830-460-7170.
