Presidential, VP debate schedule

The Presidential Debates and the Vice Presidential Debate will be televised live on C-SPAN, ABC, CBS, FOX and NBC.

The first debate between President Barack Obama and Republican challenger Mitt Romney was held Wednesday, Oct. 3. Moderated by Jim Lehrer, the subject was domestic policy.

The remaining debates include:
• The only Vice Presidential Debate between Vice President Joe Biden and challenger Republican Congressman Paul Ryan will be held from 8 pm to 9:30 pm, Central Time, at Centre College in Danville, Kentucky. The subjects will be both domestic and foreign policy.
• The second Presidential Debate will be from 8 pm to 9:30 pm, Central Time, Tuesday, Oct. 16, at Hofstra University in Hempstead, New York. The format will be a town meeting that allows citizens to ask questions about foreign and domestic policy. The citizens would be undecided voters selected by the Gallup Organization.
• The third and final Presidential Debate will be held from 8 pm to 9:30 pm, Central Time, Monday, Oct. 22, at Lynn University in Boca Raton, Florida. The topic will be foreign policy.
