City race draws crowded field

By 5 pm, Monday, August 20, all hats for the City of Bandera election, slated for Tuesday Nov. 6, had been tossed into the political ring. Up for grabs are two seats on city council and the position of mayor.

Vying for the city's top spot are Mayor Pro Tem Maggie Schumacher and challenger Don Clark. Additionally, incumbent councilmen Nancy Montgomery and John Hegemier face challengers Carolyn Edwards and Jim Hannah for city council spots.

All candidates are reminded to send photos and short write-ups of no more than 500 words, which include biographies and explanations of their platform or vision for the city, to the Bandera County Courier at
