Rubbing elbows with true Texas heroes

Two of the Frontier Times Museum's designated Texas Heroes, retired Texas Ranger, Joaquin Jackson, and nationally recognized natural horseman, Craig Cameron, will be at the museum, books and pens in hand, Friday afternoon July 27 at 2 pm.

Both men have agreed to be available to sign copies of books and other merchandise during the afternoon to kick off the National Day of The American Cowboy.

Jackson, arguably the most famous Texas Ranger of all, will have copies of One Ranger and One Ranger Returns, both of which are regularly carried at the Museum. Craig Cameron brings his American horsemanship techniques to a wide audience through clinics, TV shows, books and DVDs, including Ride Smart with Craig Cameron, among others.

Cameron and Jackson will also be featured in the Grand Entry at the Ranch Rodeo Friday night at Mansfield Park at 8 pm, and inducted into the Texas Heroes Hall of Honor, along with country music star Arkey Blue, and rodeo champion Buddy Groff, on the Courthouse lawn, July 28 at noon.

The induction serves as the centerpiece of a full weekend of family fun, two nights of rodeo and activities for all.
