Luther to sign Camp Verde book at Medina library

The Medina Community Library will host Dr. Joseph Luther on Saturday, June 2, at 10:30 am. Dr. Luther will read from his book, Camp Verde - Texas Frontier Defense.

Dr. Luther is a sixth-generation Texan who lives in Kerrville. He earned his doctorate at Texas A&M University and is a professor emeritus of the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, where he taught for 23 years, serving as associate dean of the College of Architecture.

Dr. Luther is a member of the Hill Country Archeological Association and is also an active member of the Texas State Historical Association, and the Texas Archeological Society.

He is a correspondent to the Kerrville Daily Times and has written a number of articles about local history.

Light refreshments will be served.
